BREAKING: Thai Soldiers Continue Violations of Cambodian Sovereignty in Banteay Meanchey

Phnom Penh, Sept. 17, 2025 – Thai soldiers have continued to violate Cambodia’s sovereignty by crossing into Prey Chan village, O’Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, where they reportedly deployed tear gas, smoke bombs, and fired rubber bullets with pellets.

The incident, which took place this afternoon, caused injuries to several Cambodian civilians, including Buddhist monks and members of the armed forces stationed in the area. The wounded were immediately transported for urgent medical treatment.

This latest development marks a serious escalation along the Cambodia-Thailand border, drawing heightened concerns over repeated breaches of sovereignty and the safety of local communities.
