Cambodia and Thailand to Hold RBC Meeting on 4-6 October

Phnom Penh, September 30, 2025 – The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia announced that the Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting between Cambodia’s Military Region 3 and Thailand’s Chanthaburi-Trat Border Defence Command is scheduled to take place from October 4 to 6, 2025, in Koh Kong Province, with Cambodia serving as host.

According to the Ministry, Cambodia’s Military Region 3 has already extended a formal invitation to its Thai counterpart for the convening of this important meeting.

The upcoming RBC meeting aims to strengthen the implementation of the Cambodia–Thailand ceasefire agreement, promote practical cooperation, and contribute to peace, stability, and the restoration of normalcy in bilateral relations between the two neighbors.

Her Excellency Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence, affirmed that Cambodia remains committed to fostering dialogue and constructive engagement in order to ensure lasting peace along the border.
