លោកជំទាវ ឧត្តមសេនីយ៍ឯក ម៉ាលី សុជាតា អ្នកនាំពាក្យក្រសួងការពារជាតិ នៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា បានបញ្ជាក់ថា នៅថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ២០២៦នេះ មានផេកផ្លូវការរបស់យោធា និងបណ្តាញសារព័ត៌មានរបស់ថៃមួយចំនួនបានផ្សព្វផ្សាយថា ភាគីកម្ពុជាបានប្រើប្រាស់អាវុធបាញ់គ្រាប់បែកខ្នាត៤០មីលីម៉ែត្រ បាញ់ចូលមកតំបន់ក្បែរចំណុចល្បាតរបស់ភាគីថៃចំនួន១គ្រាប់ នៅវេលាម៉ោង៨:៥០នាទីព្រឹក នៅទល់មុខភូមិសាស្រ្តគោលប្រាំបី ចាក់ច្រែង ក្នុងខេត្តព្រះវិហារ។

អ្នកនាំពាក្យក្រសួងការពារជាតិ នៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា សូមធ្វើការបដិសេធចោលយ៉ាងដាច់អហង្ការចំពោះការចោទប្រកាន់នេះ ហើយអំពាវនាវឱ្យភាគីថៃបញ្ឈប់ការចុះផ្សាយព័ត៌មានមិនពិត ដែលអាចបង្កឱ្យមានការយល់ច្រឡំ និងការកើនឡើងនូវភាពតានតឹង។

យោងតាមព័ត៌មានដែលទទួលបានពីយោធភូមិភាគទី៤ នៃកងយោធពលខេមរភូមិន្ទ បានបញ្ជាក់ថា បន្ទាប់ពីឮសម្លេងផ្ទុះ និងសម្លេងបាញ់កាំភ្លើងនៅខាងភាគីថៃ ក្រុមទំនាក់ទំនងរបស់យោធភូមិភាគទី៤របស់កម្ពុជា និងកងទ័ពភូមិភាគទី២របស់ថៃ បានទាក់ទងសាកសួរ និងផ្តល់ព័ត៌មានគ្នាទៅលើករណីនេះរួចរាល់ហើយ និងបានបញ្ជាក់យ៉ាងច្បាស់ទៅកាន់កងទ័ពភូមិភាគទី២ថៃថា កងកម្លាំងរបស់កម្ពុជាមិនបានបាញ់ដូចការចោទប្រកាន់នោះទេ។

H.E. Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, wishes to inform the public as well as members of national and international media as follows:
On February 24, 2026, official military pages and several Thai media outlets reported that Cambodian forces had fired one round of a 40mm grenade launcher into an area near a Thai patrol point at 8:50 a.m., opposite the Koul Prambei, Chak Chreng Area in Preah Vihear Province.
The Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia categorically denies these allegations and calls upon the Thai side to cease spreading false information that could lead to misunderstandings and heightened tensions.
According to reports from the 4th Military Region of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, following reports of explosions and gunfire on the Thai side, liaison teams from Cambodia’s 4th Military Region and Thailand’s 2nd Army Area promptly established contact to discuss the matter. During this communication, Cambodian officials explicitly informed their Thai counterparts that Cambodian forces did not fire any weapons as alleged.
The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia reiterates our firm and clear commitment to fully, strictly, and responsibly respect and implement the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the Cambodia–Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) dated December 27, 2025, the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand dated October 26, 2025, and other related agreements—especially efforts to counter fake news—in order to swiftly improve the situation and restore normalcy, peace, stability, and long-term security along the border.At the same time, the Ministry of National Defence calls on the public and all media outlets to refrain from sharing false information circulated by the aforementioned Thai media, and to follow and rely only on information from clear, accurate, and credible sources, particularly official information released by the Royal Government, official pages of leaders, ministries, and relevant institutions.
The public, as well as national and international journalists, are hereby informed of the facts regarding this matter.
